Midget Federal Tryouts

Tryouts will consist of drills encompassing fielding (Outfield and Infield), hitting, and base running. We will be looking at pitching and catching also. 

Please be aware that all the drills and exercises that we will be implementing are geared toward the advanced skilled player who has a firm grasp of the game and possesses the skills and desire necessary to play at the highest  level of competition. Tryouts are open to all registered 9-10 year olds but we ask that you, the parents, use discretion in deciding whether or not this is the right level for your player.

Date & Time:

  • Saturday, March 8th -  5:00 - 7:00pm

  • Sunday, March 9th - 5:30 - 7:30pm

Location: Westview High School

Evaluation Information:

  • All players must attend at least one session.

  • Please arrive early to warm up

  • All players must be wearing a protective cup.

  • Please wear long pants (baseball pants or warm-ups okay). No shorts.

  • Please wear your tennis shoes.  All players must bring their cleats.

  • Please bring water.

  • Dress for the weather.

Midget General Evaluations

Evaluation Information:

  • All players must attend at least one session.

  • Please arrive early to warm up

  • All players must be wearing a protective cup.

  • Please wear long pants (baseball pants or warm-ups okay). No shorts.

  • Please wear your tennis shoes.  All players must bring their cleats.

  • Please bring water.

  • Dress for the weather.

Senior Federal Tryouts

Tryouts will consist of drills encompassing fielding (Outfield and Infield), hitting, and base running. Evaluations for pitching and catching will be conducted on Monday, March 10th & March 11th.

  • Friday, March 7th - 7:00 - 9:00pm - Hitting only

  • Saturday, March 8th - 7:00 - 9:00pm - Fielding only

  • Sunday, March 9th - 7:00 - 9:00pm - Fielding only

  • Monday, March 10th - 7:00 - 9:30pm - Pitching/Catching only

  • Tuesday, March 11th - 7:00 - 9:30pm - Pitching/Catching only

Location: Westview High School / Village Baptist Church for pitching/catching

Evaluation Information:

  • Please arrive early to warm up.

  • Please dress accordingly we will be rotating through stations for the entire time period

  • Wear either tennis shoes or turf shoes as we will be on the football field for drills (no metal cleats will be allowed on the turf field)

  • Bring cleats for possible baseball field drills, if the weather and fields permit.

  • Bring batting helmets for the hitting cage.

  • Bring a drink as there will be time to re-hydrate during evaluations.
